How do I manage my bills?

To set up and pay a new bill:
1. Log in to the app.
2. Tap the ‘Payments’ option in the bottom tab.
3. Tap ‘Pay’.
4. Tap ‘Pay someone new’.
5. Tap the ‘Pay a bill’ option under ‘New payment’.
6. If it’s a utility bill, tap the ‘Utilities & services’ tab and if it’s a credit card bill, tap the ‘Credit card bills’ tab. Then, select ‘who you are paying’.
7. You will be asked to enter a ‘Nickname’ and either a ‘Reference number’ if you are paying a utility bill or ‘Credit card number’ if you are paying a credit card bill before tapping ‘Save and continue’.
8. On the next screen, enter the amount you want to ‘Pay’.
9. Then, tap ‘From Account’ which is the account you want to send the money from
10. Then, check the ‘To Account’ to make sure you are sending the money to the correct payee.
11. Before you press Continue’, you have the option to select the ‘Payment type’. The payment type will default to ‘Standard’ (money arrives on the same or next business day) but you can choose ‘Instant’ (money normally arrives within seconds). The transaction charges for these types of payments are the same.
12. Confirm the details are correct and tap ‘Pay bill’.
13. You can see the completed payment in the ‘Payments’ section of the app.
Pay again

With ‘Pay again’, you can repeat a payment for a bill by tapping on the transaction. No need to start again. Find the transaction in the ‘Recently paid” section of the app, tap the payment and follow the steps to repeat it.

You can also adjust the amount or the account you are sending money from.
1. Log in to the app.
2. Go to Pay & Transfer.
3. Select Pay a bill and follow the on screen journey.
Payments can be made to an existing bill. New Credit Card bills cannot be set up on the app, please log into Internet banking to do this.
1. Log in to AIB Internet Banking
2. Go to 'Pay & Transfer'
To Set up a new bill:
- Select Pay A Bill and click on new bill for the bill type. Follow the onscreen instructions.
OR
- Select Payees, click on Add New Payee and follow the onscreen instructions.
You will need the Bill reference number which appears on your Bill.

You will need your AIB Card Reader to set up a 3rd party credit card or non-AIB credit card for payment.

To delete a bill:

Select Payees; the option to ‘delete’ is to the right of the screen.

To amend an existing bill:

You will be required to delete the existing bill and complete the above steps to set a new bill with the updated information.
