Hidden Costs

  • Keep in mind all the hidden costs for holidays apart from flights and accommodation when you are working out your finances. Remember things like:
  • Medical expenses of vaccinations when visiting countries where they are required
  • Holiday clothes
  • Sun lotions/creams

Your Money abroad

  • Don't forget you can use your AIB Maestro Debit card while abroad where you see the Laser or Maestro symbol
  • You can also use your AIB Credit Card while abroad where you see Visa or MasterCard Signs.
  • This may be cheaper than converting your money before you go.
  • Always have access to more than one source of cash while you are away. Bring your ATM card and your Credit Card as well as some foreign currency.
