Switching Your Personal Current Account to AIB

Why switch your Personal Current Account to AIB?

Terms and conditions apply. Debit Cards are liable to annual Government Stamp Duty. Currently EUR2.50 per card applies where the card is used for either an ATM/in branch transaction or a Point of Sale transaction, and EUR5.00 per card applies where the card is used for both. Government Stamp Duty of EUR 0.50 per cheque applies.

How to Switch to AIB?

Switching is easy: Please call into any branch of AIB and one of our Customer Service Officials will be happy to take you through the next steps for switching your personal current account(s).

Switching Options

The Code of Conduct on the Switching of Current Accounts with Credit Institutions provides you with the following two options:

Option A: Switch your personal current account(s) to AIB and close your personal current account(s) with your 'Old Bank'.

Or

Option B: Switch all your active direct debits and standing orders to your new/ existing personal current account while your 'old' personal current account(s) remain open with your 'Old Bank'.
