Qualifying Criteria
Personal Current Account customers# who hold an AIB Debit Card and are registered for AIB Phone & Internet Banking can qualify for free maintenance and transaction banking on that account by completing the following transactions on the account each fee quarter:
1. at least one purchase transaction using their AIB Debit Card in each fee quarter
AND
2. at least one debit transaction using AIB Phone & Internet Banking in each fee quarter
# There is no change to the existing free maintenance and transaction banking arrangements for customers with the following account types;
Online Overdraft, Gain, Masterplan, Student Accounts and Graduate Accounts.
A purchase transaction means any purchase transaction using an AIB Debit Card through the following channels ? Point of Sale (POS) terminal, telephone, mail order and Internet.
An AIB Phone & Internet Banking debit transaction means any debit transaction made using the AIB Phone & Internet Banking service i.e. inter-account transfers, transfers to other branches and banks, International Payment, bill payment and mobile top up (including online and SMS mobile top up but excluding mobile top up via ATM).
The qualifying transactions must take place at least once in each fee quarter on the same account for the account to qualify to bank free of maintenance and transaction fees during each quarter.
The fee quarters end on the last working Friday of February, May, August and November each year.

A Facility Fee of EUR25.39 applies to Overdrafts. Debit Cards are liable to annual Government Stamp Duty. Currently EUR 2.50 per card applies where the card is used for either an ATM/in branch transaction or a Point of Sale transaction, and EUR5.00 per card applies where the card is used for both. Government Stamp Duty of EUR0.50 applies to each cheque.
