We hope that you like the new look for the AIB Personal Finance website www.aib.ie/personal.

The website was redesigned for the following reasons:

  • to keep the site design up-to-date
  • to improve the way in which you can interact with and navigate around our site
  • to make the site "Accessible" This means we offer the same level of service and access to information for all our customers, regardless of impairments or disabilities they may have

Find out more about the changes we have made.

Because of the new design, the bookmarked page that you may have used in the past to access the AIB Internet Banking log in screen may no longer work.

To ensure that you can continue to access AIB Internet Banking in a secure manner it is important that you update your "favourites" or "bookmark".

Your new bookmark should be www.aib.ie/internetbanking.

This address will never change, and you can always be sure that you are accessing the correct login page.

Reasons we are changing the 'Look' of our website:

Accesibility - WAI Priority level 2
AIB have followed the Web Accessibility Initiatives (WAI) lead for making web content accessible. We have aimed to provide a web site that meets all the guidelines set out for priority level one and level two of the current Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) document.

Use of JavaScript

There is limited use of JavaScript within this site. We have, on occasion, used it to enhance your experience of this site. No content is out of reach if you do not have JavaScript.

Browser Compatibility
We have tried to ensure that all of the pages on this site are readable in most browsers. In particular we have checked compatibility with the latest versions of the most used browsers such as:

  • Internet Explorer
  • FireFox
  • Safari (for the MAC)

Increased usability
As part of this design we have tried to ensure a simple and usable navigation to allow users to locate information through either an 'area of interest' approach, across the top of the page, or through a 'product focused' approach, to the left of the page.
We have also simplified our page design to make it easier to find useful information on each page. In the case of content pages we have put all relevant links together on the right which allows for easier reading of the actual content.

Print friendly
The current site utilises the latest HTML and CSS techniques to ensure that all pages will print in 'print friendly' format.
This 'print friendly' format removes navigation from the printed page as well as background colours allowing you to print only the information you want in a very easy to read way.
If you are viewing this site with JavaScript enabled you will find that some of the pages contain a link to 'print page'. This is a shortcut to your browsers 'print' option.
If you do not have JavaScript you will have to navigate to the print option of your browser.
In most of the modern browsers, the 'print' option can be found within the 'file' menu in the top left of the browser window.

Scalable font size
We understand that not everyone has '20:20' vision and that to some of you the font on our site may be too small.
We have tried to ensure that all text throughout the site can be scaled up and down as you require it.
In most of the modern browsers, the 'text size' option can be found in the 'view' menu in the top left of the browser window.
