International Payments

As a business customer, it is important to your business that your international trading partners are paid in a timely and secure manner.

Similarly, inward international payments from your buyers abroad can be sent directly to your account with AIB electronically.

For payments within the SEPA zone*, the use of the International Bank Account Number (IBAN) and SWIFT address/Bank Identifier Code (BIC) should always be included on the payment instruction to ensure that the payment is delivered in the most effective and cost efficient way.

AIB offers a range of international payment services to meet your business needs both via our branch network and electronically via iBusiness Banking, AIB's internet based cash management service. To view a demo of iBusiness Banking please view our Related Information section.

Alternatively you can complete the relevant International Payment application form (Paylink or Paylink Euro) and submit it through your branch for processing. Your choice of Paylink or Paylink Euro application form is dependent on the currency and destination of the payment. Guidance notes and other relevant International Payment information are provided on these standard application forms which are available to download from our Capital Markets website which can be accessed through our Related Information section.

Please note that these forms are updated from time to time. To ensure you are using the correct version, please download from the website on each occasion you wish to make an International Payment.
