The Credit Review Office has been established by the Minister for Finance to provide an independent review process for SMEs, including sole traders and farm enterprises, who have had their applications for credit (from €1,000 up €500,000) refused, reduced or withdrawn.
Full information about the Credit Review Office and the process can be located on www.creditreview.ie.
If you wish to have a decision made by AIB reviewed by the Credit Review Office, you must first appeal the decision to AIB in writing addressed to the Credit Appeals Officer,
The lender who was involved in the original decision will not be involved in the appeals decision. A written response will be issued within 15 business days of receipt of the written appeal.
If your appeal is unsuccessful, you may then refer the decision to the Credit Review Office.
