AIB offers alternative to Bank of Scotland (Ireland) customers

AIB today announced that it is targeting Bank of Scotland (Ireland) customers seeking to replace their banking arrangements following the recent announcement from Bank of Scotland (Ireland) that it is withdrawing from the Irish market.

Bank of Scotland (Ireland) customers will need an alternative banking provider following the bank’s intention to cease the provision of working capital to businesses by the end of this year, as well as ceasing to take customer deposits.

AIB has an extensive network of 270 branches and 15 business centres already serving 180,000 SME customers across the country. With over 250 experienced Relationship Managers and 200 SME Specialists located in every town in Ireland, AIB is well positioned to offer Bank of Scotland (Ireland) customers a full range of business banking services from money transmission and deposits to working capital and asset finance.

AIB has today launched an advertising campaign targeted at Bank of Scotland (Ireland) customers and has established a Bank of Scotland (Ireland) customer helpline on 1890 40 80 90 which will be open from 8am to 9pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 6pm on Saturdays.
