Personal Accident Travel cover applies to the AIB Classic Visa Business Cardholder, his or her partner and dependent children, when at least 50% of the fares for each person travelling have been charged to the AIB Classic Visa Business Card. Coverage is up to a maximum of EUR64,000 in the event of Death, Loss of Sight/Limb or Permanent Total Disablement.

If an Insured Person sustains accidental bodily injury during the period of coverage resulting in any of the following events, AIG Europe (Ireland) Ltd., will pay to the Insured Person (or in the event of accidental death to his/her estate), the appropriate benefit specified below:-

Payment shall not be made under more than one of the benefits in respect of the same accident for the same person.
Payment under Benefit 1 in respect of dependent children of the cardholder is limited to:

Coverage will not apply when injury results from engaging in any form of aerial flight other than as a passenger, offshore works, bodily injury sustained which is the result of or is contributed to by the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs other than drugs taken in accordance with treatment prescribed and directed by a qualified registered medical practitioner but not for the treatment of drug addiction, self-inflicted injury, pre-existing ailment, pregnancy or childbirth, human immunodeficiency virus, non-residence.
War Exclusion
The Company shall not be liable for any injury resulting from war.
Definition
War shall mean any activity arising out of or attempt to participate in the use of any military force between nations and shall include civil war, revolution and invasion.
Nuclear/Biological/Chemical Terrorism Exclusion
It is agreed that, regardless of any contributory causes, this insurance does not cover any losses directly or indirectly arising out of any nuclear, chemical or biological contamination due to a terrorist act.
Definitions:
Terrorist act means any actual or threatened use of force of violence directed at or causing damage, injury, harm or disruption, or commission of an act dangerous to human life or property, against any individual, property or government, with the stated or unstated objective of pursuing economic, ethnic, nationalistic, political, racial or religious interests, whether such interests are declared or not. Robberies or other criminal acts, primarily committed for personal gain and acts arising primarily from prior personal relationships between perpetrator(s) and victim(s) shall not be considered Terrorist Acts. Terrorist Act shall also include any act which is verified or recognised by the (relevant) Government as an act of terrorism. Contamination means the contamination or poisoning of people by nuclear and/or chemical and/or biological substances which cause illness and/or death.
Accident Accumulation Limit
The maximum the Company will pay in the aggregate to eligible Insured Persons under this insurance (Master Policy No. PAE61964) in respect of any one accident or series of accidents arising from a single event will be EUR5,500,000. In the event that the total claims from the single event exceed EUR5,500,000 the Company will pay an amount which is proportionately reduced until the total does not exceed this limit.
