Starting a career in farming can be challenging and it's essential to have a plan for the long term future of your farm. To grow your business you need a banking partner that understands your ambition and your farm business.
At AIB we know farming. We have specifically designed a package of our products and services to meet the requirements of young farmers and help them to grow and develop their farm business.
The package is available to young farmers between the ages of 18 and 35 years who may have recently or are in the process of purchasing or inheriting a farm, starting their own farming business or entering into a farming partnership with one or more others.
An AIB Young Farmer Current Account is an efficient way to manage your farm finances. With an AIB Young Farmer Current Account you can lodge money from the sale of livestock, milk or crops and receive payments such as the Single Farm Payment. It allows you to pay bills easily and efficiently. When you open your AIB Young Farmer Current Account we'll waive account transactions fees, excluding cash handling fees for the first two years. We will also waive cash handling fees for the first two years up to a maximum discount of EUR100 per fee quarter.
This offer is available to customers who open an AIB Young Farmer Current Account between 1st April 2011 and 30th March 2012. Customers must complete and submit the Bank's Young Farmer Current Account Fee Offer Application Form to their branch at the time the account is being opened. At the end of the offer period, the Bank's standard fees and charges will apply to the account. Other charges apply, please refer to our booklet 'Business Fees and Charges' or click on the link in the Important / Regulatory Notice below for further details.
In farming, sometimes it can be difficult to get the time to visit your local branch when you need to. As a registered AIB Phone & Internet Banking customer, banking online with AIB cuts out the need for you to visit your local branch when it is not convenient to do so. You can choose from either AIB Phone & Internet Banking or iBusiness Banking services which allow you the option to manage your farm finances online, depending on your needs.
